Olney Elementary School

Welcome to Olney Elementary! Our hope is that every student in our
care will have a rewarding, meaningful and safe elementary school
experience. Olney Elementary School is a Title 1 school serving
approximately 400 students in grades Pre-K through fifth grade.
Olney Elementary offers a full computer lab, Dyslexia classes,
English as a Second Language, and provides inclusion instruction
for our special population students in the classroom with support
from highly qualified paraprofessionals.
The student to teacher ratio at Olney Elementary is about fourteen
to one. We currently provide one PPCD class, two Pre-Kindergarten
classes, and four classes per grade from kindergarten to fifth
grade.
We set high expectations for our students, while providing numerous
avenues of support to those that find our curriculum rigorous.
Daily tutoring provided by teachers and a built-in intervention
program are offered to students. Olney Elementary School provides a
wonderful atmosphere for learning.
Olney Elementary School is a Texas Education Agency Exemplary
campus. At Olney Elementary, our teachers don’t make the
difference, they ARE the difference. I am proud of our faculty and
am thankful for their dedication and commitment to excellence and
learning for every child.
