5th Grade Language Arts
- Spelling
Spelling tests will be given weekly. The list will be handed out Monday and the test will be given on Friday.
- Wordbook
Wordbook will be used for vocabulary lessons. Each lesson has fifteen words and there will be three weeks given to study. Each week there will be an exercise in class on these words and a test given at the end of the three week period.
- Shurley Grammar
A notebook will be kept and reference materials will be provided for use on tests.
- Writing
There will be two writing assignments each six weeks that correlate with Reading novels.
- Memory work
There will be one memory work assignment each six weeks. There will be 2-3 weeks to prepare.
