Welcome to 2nd grade! I am committed to creating a positive atmosphere in a safe environment that is an exciting place for your child to learn. We will work hard and also have fun! In Grade 2, tickets are a real POSITIVE! Students can earn tickets for a variety of reasons... good behavior, good homework records, completing challenge problems, cooperation with classmates, etc. Students keep their tickets and can trade them in for a prize!
We have a fantastic group of children this year. I’m excited about the opportunity to have you in my classroom and looking forward to a happy and productive school year.
Thank you for your help and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call on me anytime.

I started my first year as a licensed teacher in 2007 at Olney Elementary School. It was challenging and exciting all at the same time. Prior to teaching in Olney I taught Pre-K at New Life Christian Academy in Beaumont, Texas. I was also formerly a licensed property/casualty independent agent in Houston, TX for 10 years and recently worked under Tracey Denson with State Farm in Wichita Falls. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and have loved every minute spent here at Olney Elementary. On a personal note, I am married to Lowell who owns Spartan Merchant Services and we have three children Justin, Madison, and Reagen. I have two younger sisters, Angie is a nurse and Shawna teaches geography and economics at Humble High School. I also have a younger brother James who is the VP of Anchor Sales in Denver, Co. I am currently attending MSU online in pursuant of my Masters in Educational Technology. I also enjoy spending time with my family, attending church, mentoring, traveling, playing piano, and walking. |
