-- DATABASES --

The TexShare Database Program provides a wealth of electronic database resources to over 700 public, academic, and libraries of clinical medicine throughout the state at a significant cost savings. These electronic databases are powerful research tools available 24 hours a day in the homes or offices of registered patrons of participating Texas libraries. They provide full-text articles from journals, newspapers, magazines, and many other sources. Entire books can even be read while on-line. Database topics include homework help for students, health information, business information, biography and genealogy, as well as literature and archival information.

The TexShare databases are a collection of highly reliable sources collected by the Texas State Library for your research purposes.  The school libraries have each been provided with a limited version of databases by Ebsco from the State of Texas.  These easily navigable databases adequately fill the needs of students and may be accessed on or off campus by students, teachers, and parents.  The public library subscribes to an extended version of the databases with vendors such as Ebsco, Proquest, and Gale to meet the needs of adults, and students alike, in areas including health, business, genealogy, newspapers, and general research areas.  Below are the links to the Texshare databases which you may access using the appropriate username and password:

Because these databases are by subscription, you must call or come by the library to obtain the user name and password.  We will also be glad to try to help you with any searches during regular library hours.  You may call 940-564-5513 or email your search question to kathy.gilmore@esc9.net and someone will try to respond within the next 24 hours.
